What makes a good Power BI course?
Four things to check before you book, whoever you end up training with.
Power BI is not just for large corporations and finance teams. Smaller organisations use dashboards to track enquiries, quote conversion rates, job values and seasonal demand, often pulling data from spreadsheets, CRMs and accounting tools into one report. This is why Power BI courses should use realistic business scenarios rather than relying entirely on abstract exercises.
Instructor quality
Ask who will actually be teaching. A Microsoft Certified Trainer who uses Power BI day to day can explain why things go wrong, not just run through a checklist of objectives.
Class size
Small groups mean your questions get answered. Once a class goes past ten or so, the trainer has to teach to the middle.
Practical learning
You should spend most of the day building reports, not watching slides, ideally with data that looks like yours.
Curriculum depth
Match the level to where you are. A beginner course and a DAX course aren’t for the same person!

Where the London courses run
Acuity Training’s Power BI classroom courses run at 44 Southampton Buildings, London WC2A 1AP, a short walk from Chancery Lane station. Holborn station is also close by.
Chancery Lane is on the Central line, so you can get there without changing from Shepherd’s Bush, Notting Hill Gate, Oxford Circus, Liverpool Street and Stratford. From Kings Cross, take the Piccadilly line to Holborn. From Camden Town, take the Northern line to Tottenham Court Road and change to the Central line for two stops.
If getting into central London doesn’t suit you, the same courses run live online with a trainer, so you can join from anywhere.
